Parking
The city centre is car-free. Use a car park on the edge of the centre or a park and ride.
Things to do
- Gravensteen Castle – Medieval castle of the Counts of Flanders in the heart of the city. Climb the battlements for a view over the rooftops.
- Graslei and Korenlei – The old harbour with guild houses along the river Leie. From St Michael's Bridge you see all the towers in a row, best at sunset.
- St Bavo's Cathedral and the Ghent Altarpiece – Gothic cathedral housing the world-famous Ghent Altarpiece by the Van Eyck brothers.
