Check-in and check-out

In the Check-in and check-out tile you set out when guests arrive and leave, how access works, where they park and what to do with the keys. Door codes and key safe codes are deliberately left out: anyone with the link can open a guide. Send those codes separately, on the day of arrival.

What goes in the tile?

  1. Check-in: from what time, and what guests should do if they arrive earlier or later
  2. Access: how it works (key safe, smart lock, meeting in person), without the code itself
  3. Parking: where it’s allowed, what it costs, whether there’s a charging point
  4. First steps: where the light switches, heating and fuse box are
  5. Check-out: by what time, and what to do with the keys, the dishes and the rubbish

Why no codes in the guide?

A guidebook needs to be easy to open, so it isn’t behind a password. Anyone who has seen the link or the card can open the guide later. A door code in the guide is then a key you never get back. So send codes by message, and change them after every guest if your lock allows it.
